Beans beans beans

I’ve always loved to cook, my mother is a wonderful cook and I’ve always had the fortune of helping her out by measuring things, chopping, washing, etc.  It went a little to the extreme on Friday night at my new part-time job when I cut both ends off of 40 pounds of green beans…

I’ve always wanted to work in a real kitchen, just to pick up a few tricks and see how it really goes.  I got the opportunity to do it in one of the best restaurants in the city, Tao.

It’s been a lot of fun, hanging out with the kitchen staff, practicing my Spanish and learning about great food.  I’ll give more updates and I go but for now I gotta go tape up my thumb from where the knife kept hitting.
